Madison Hynes

BA Theatre | Office Administrator & Guest Teacher

Maddy is originally from Peterborough, ON and made the move to Vancouver in 2020. She began her dance training at age six, gaining skills in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Tap. Her love for the art form led to her entry into the Thomas A. Stewart Integrated Arts Program for Dance.

Maddy continued her studio training alongside her immersion in the school program as well as being a part of the Protege Program for Choreography. After school, she began teaching Jazz, Tap, and Lyrical while taking classes at Trent University.

In 2018 she continued her post-secondary education and obtained a dual diploma in Occupational and Physiotherapist Assistance, expanding on her interest in human physiology. Though, she always felt a pull back to the arts and began her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre at the University of British Columbia, graduating in 2023.

Maddy is continuing her education in the Bachelor of Education Secondary Program at UBC, with a focus on performing arts and the International Baccalaureate Program.  She is thrilled to be joining Driftwood Dance Academy for their 11th season as part of the administrative team!
